Bennett hosted an escorted motorcycle procession through Henry County Georgia on September 13, 2018 to raise awareness for Wreaths Across America.

The procession included the Mobile Education Exhibit, Henry County first responders and Bennett’s custom-wrapped trailer. The event, organized by Bennett’s leadership, including Lee Gentry, Phil Desouza and Kris Rzepkowski started at Food Depot 2600 GA-138 in Stockbridge, GA.

In the morning, the Wreaths Across America’s Mobile Education Exhibit was set up in the Food Depot parking lot, where all of the motorcyclists and the general public were invited to look through the exhibit. Also, Bennett’s drivers Tom Teddy and Pat Gorman, who will do a wreath run in December, parked their sleeper in front of the custom-wrapped trailer to show off the design.

After a safety meeting, the Henry County Police Department, Henry County GA Sheriff’s Office, McDonough, GA Police Dept. and Henry County Fire Department led the ride from their vehicles and motorcycles. The Patriot Guard Riders and Monticello GA VFW post had dozens of riders representing their organizations. As the processional wound its way through Henry County, the general public lined some of the roadways, cheering and waving their American flags. The procession could not be missed because flying overhead was a Huey helicopter flown by volunteers from the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation.

Upon arrival at Bennett’s Home Office, over 100 employees waved American flags and cheered for the procession. Bennett CEO, Marcia G. Taylor, Andersonville Cemetery Superintendent Charles Sellars, Lee Gentry, Kris Rzepkowski, and Phil Desouza all addressed the crowd at the event. In all, it was a great kick-off to two days of festivities where Bennett was able to raise enough money to purchase over 3,000 wreaths for the National Wreaths Across America day event at Andersonville National Cemetery.
